Flexible mixed ensemble

Idée Nicked was written for a workshop involving A-level students. It can be performed by any number of players from 8 upwards, with improvised solos from some.

Scoring: vibraphone • piano • triangle • suspended cymbal • 4 part ensemble: Part A (flute, violin, clarinet etc) Part B (violin, oboe, trumpet etc) Part C (viola, horn, alto sax etc) Part D (cello, bass, bassoon etc)
If no vibraphone is available an electronic keyboard or other tuned percussion can be substituted.
